What is Carrier Pre Selection?
Until recently, the provision of alternatives to BT’s service has always involved either the installation of expensive re-routing equipment or has necessitated single line users prefixing each call with a 4-digit number under a service known as Indirect Access. With consistent number changes and the inconvenience of dialling a number prefix, billing from alternative carriers has never been complete, leading to a substantial number of calls still being billed by BT.

The combination of expensive equipment and call "leakage" back to BT has prevented users from maximising the benefits of a competitive fixed line telecom service.

Carrier Pre Selection or CPS is a service from TMG plc, whereby customers will no longer have to prefix calls with a four digit code or dial through a router adapter to benefit from lower cost calls. Instead, we arrange with BT for this to happen within their network and you will receive the lower cost benefits on all the calls you make.

Whether you have one line or hundreds, activation is simple, just complete an account application and a form to authorise BT and you will be seamlessly connected.
